Hello: Having trained at McGill (MDCM 1997), I then worked in Northern Canada and later in Shanghai, China, I am currently a family doctor in Burnaby, B.C. Having been actively calling churches and community groups to better prepare themselves for emergency response, I am now retraining as a community medicine specialist. My main family practice interests are pediatrics and working with new immigrants. My main interests from a public health perspective are mobilizing existing social networks as well as exploring the development of new networks through the use of new technologies; the main impetus for these interests has been learning about influenza and the preparing regionally / provincially for the next flu pandemic.
